George Vouros is a professor in the Department of Digital Systems at the University of Piraeus. He holds a BSc in Mathematics, and a PhD in Artificial Intelligence, both from the University of Athens. His research work spans from knowledge representation and reasoning, focusing on the engineering, acquisition, evolution, alignment, and coordination of ontologies, to multi-agent systems, focusing on agent organizations and their adaptation, agents’ collaboration and coordination. He has served as chair, member of program committees and reviewer of articles in several well-established international conferences and well-reputed journals. He teaches agents, multi-agent systems and ontologies in the semantic web for more than 8 years, at post and pre-graduate levels in his capacities as professor at the universities of Piraeus and Aegean.
