Dr. Maite Lopez-Sanchez is a Computer Scientist that holds, since 1999, a Ph.D. on Artificial Intelligence from the Artificial Intelligence Research Institute (IIIA-CSIC, http://www.iiia.csic.es/). As a pre-doc, she was visitor researcher at the University of Southern California (USC: http://www.usc.edu/), and as a post-doc, she was co-founder of iSOCO (intelligent Software Components http://www.isoco.com/), a spin-off company form the IIIA. At iSOCO, she was research manager and was in charge of a number of European and national research projects. Currently, she is Associate Professor (TU) at the University of Barcelona (UB, http://www.ub.edu). She is the coordinator at UB of the interuniversitary master on Artifical Intelligence and some national research projects. Overall, she has published about 100 scientific publications in indexed journals, books, and ranked international conferences and she has supervised both Ph.D. and master students in the area Normative Multi-Agent Systems. In addition to research papers she has also coauthored several video and demo contributions (some of which have been awarded).
