Ronen Brafman is a Professor of Computer Science at Ben-Gurion University in Israel. He received his Ph.D. from Stanford University in 1996, and did his post-doc at the University of British Columbia. He also work as a research scientist at NASA Ames Research Center. Prof. Brafman’s research is concerned with diverse issues related to automated planning and decision-making. He has published over 100 articles in peer-reviewed journals and conferences, and received two best-paper awards from ICAPS – the international conference on Automated Planning and Scheduling, and a JAIR-IJCAI best paper award. He serves on the advisory board of the Journal of AI Research and is an Associate Editor of the Artificial Intelligence Journal and Journal of Autonomous Agents and Multi-Agent Systems.
